Welcome back!

Hope everyone had a fun and restful fall break!  I have missed you all and I am excited for our upcoming quarter and all the amazing learning and growth we will be doing together!

HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
September 15 – October 15, 2015

Mes de la Herencia Hispana

We will start off by taking a little time to learn about National Hispanic Heritage month and research to appreciate some accomplishments of hispanics throughout history.  We will start off by learning about one of world’s most respected civil rights leader of the 20th century:  Cesar Chavez.

We need to help students and parents cherish and preserve the ethnic and cultural diversity that nourishes and strengthens this community – and this nation.

Students must have initiative; they should not be mere imitators. They must learn to think and act for themselves – and be free.

“Our world is a better place because César Chávez decided to change it.” — President Barack Obama at César E. Chávez National Monument dedication ceremony
